It’s not perfect.
The apartment is ours. The seal can finally breathe and I get to start the next chapter.
I haven’t posted because the desk is still living in different boxes. Scattered pieces of the old temporary, waiting to become something that stays.
I’m anxious about the bugs. The central AC doesn’t work. We have a window unit and it does what it can.
Two days ago I was spinning out about all of it.
Now I’m starting to come to some kind of peace with the imperfect version of permanence.
Doesn’t fix the nightmares though.
…
I bought Cynthoni’s entire discography and tipped twenty dollars. Bandcamp let me leave a little note, so I told them how much their music resonated. What I didn’t say is how real sewerslvt’s final works felt. What they stirred. The grief that landed and stayed.
I cried. Ugly. For days.
The seal was there for most of it.
I know what struggle looks like.
That was the real kind.
Anyway.
I’m late. Again. Always.
I just never want to see art die.
